11 lessons for the RE AQA A Level spec (could be adapted to suit other specs) - focus is on explaining and evaluating the Ontological, Cosmological and Design Arguments, within the context of philosophical argument and considering the value for faith. There are revision resources and model answers included in the pack, as well as references to the new AQA text book, so a copy will be needed to support these lessons.

Resources include power points, worksheets, planned homeworks and resources such as card sorts and a knowledge organiser. Could be adapted for other specs.

PLUS 13 revision lessons (39 lessons total!) I taught the unit in 2X 85 minute lessons per week. Some lessons use Denise Cush’s Buddhism: A Student’s Approach to World Religions and Peter Harvey: An Introduction to Buddhism - pages from these texts are used in some lesson activities.

Buddhist ethics are compared and contrasted with these views, with space for students to make their own dialogues.Issues discussed are: Theft lying; marriage; homosexuality transgender issues; genetic engineering. wealth, tolerance and freedom of religious expression. A supporting powerpoint is attached to help students think about structuring exam questions. this is designed with the AQA dialogues paper 2A in mind, but could be adapted for other specs with synoptic papers.
